I was wondering why the kitchen floor looks like it needs sweeping so often. It seems like I just get it done, and it needs it again. Ah, there are three of us around and the weather is nice so we’re all outside more, so we’re tracking more stuff in, and dropping more stuff. It’s not that the ‘others’ are messier, it’s just the accumulation happens quicker. That should have been obvious, but somehow I expected the same amount of time to be able to go by without it looking like it needs sweeping regardless of how many people were around. I also couldn’t figure out why I suddenly seemed to notice the floor so much, but I’d gotten used to it being pretty clean. Time to lower my standards back to a reasonable level. It’s only a floor, after all.
