It feels good to do something. My sister in California has cancer and it’s bad. Her voice on the phone is weak and our eighty-four-year-old mother can’t hear what she is saying much of the time. They used to communicate with email, but with frequent hospital stays and my sister’s computer being a desk top, that has been very limited.
Friday, I bought an Android tablet and have been loading it with music, books, pictures, and setting up email and chat accounts. I don’t know that my sister will use it–she doesn’t own a cell phone and may not like the lack of a keyboard–but it could make communication easier, and give her something light-weight to take to the hospital with her even if she doesn’t use it for email. It feels good to do something.
